Saint misbehavin’

A Harlem church-choir director hit a sour note with authorities at La Guardia Airport yesterday when he exploded over airline baggage fees, officials said.

Gospel musician Samuel Aristil, 30, was aboard Spirit Airlines Flight 197 to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., waiting for takeoff when another passenger overheard him loudly griping to his girlfriend on his cellphone about the fees, law-enforcement sources said.

“I’m gonna blow up the plane!” Aristil allegedly said.

The other passenger alerted authorities, and the Spring Valley man was yanked off the jet just before 11 a.m.

Aristil — the new music director at St. Luke AME Church, at 1672 Amsterdam Ave. in Manhattan — later told investigators his remarks were misunderstood, the sources said.

He told police that what he actually said was, “What do they think? I’m gonna blow up this plane?” a source said.

The flight was briefly delayed at the airport while authorities made sure he wasn’t packing a bomb.

Aristil’s carry-on bag was rescreened, and his checked luggage was swept by a bomb-sniffing dog, the sources said.

After both came back clean, a federal air marshal cleared the plane for takeoff, the sources said.

The flight arrived in Florida about an hour late — but without Aristil.

He was charged with filing a false report of an incident and making a terroristic threat.

“Sam is an excellent musician and one of the nicest guys,’’ insisted Crystal Butler, 42, who works in the church’s administration. “He just got the position of musical director here, and he oversees all the choirs.”
