5 firefighters injured battling B’klyn blaze

A heavy Brooklyn fire left five firefighters injured after the two-alarm blaze ripped through a building, officials said.

The fire broke out on 57th Street between First and Second avenues in Sunset Park around 6:00 p.m., fire officials said.

The blaze took nearly an hour to get under control after 106 firefighters responded to the scene.

Three firefighters were sent to Lutheran Hospital in stable condition and two others were treated at the scene, fire officials said.
