Nearly a month after Hurricane Sandy flooded the Queens-Midtown Tunnel, morning commuters going into Manhattan are getting back their extra lane.
Gov. Cuomo announced yesterday that, starting Monday, a Queens-bound lane would again become Manhattan-bound from 7 to 10 a.m. weekdays.
The tunnel under the East River carries about 78,000 vehicles a day. Cuomo declared it “fully restored to pre-Sandy service.”
