Thanks to the Barclays Center, in its rookie season, there are plenty of reasons to be jolly in these final weeks of the year. With top-notch talent and a slam-dunk events lineup on tap, Brooklyn’s latest attraction proves you don’t have to be just a basketball fan to check out the arena.

Brooklyn Nets versus New York Knicks

Monday at 7 p.m.

After the Nets home opener — a battle of city ballers — was postponed by Sandy, the highly anticipated contest is on. With both teams off to fine starts, the game is sure to be hard-fought on the hardwood.

Disney on Ice Presents Rockin’ Ever After

Tuesday to Friday at 7 p.m., and Dec. 1 and 2 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The Magic Kingdom’s most iconic princesses team up with Mickey and Minnie Mouse for a comical faux-talent show that should charm and dazzle. And with “Brave” princess Merida making her “On Ice” debut, no Disney die-hard will want to miss this.

The Rolling Stones

Dec. 8 at 8 p.m.

The world’s greatest rock band rolls through the Barclays Center so they and their fans can spend the night together in Brooklyn. It’s the Stones’ only show in NYC on their “50 and Counting” tour. Expect to hear only the biggest hits from the rock group’s cross-generational library.

Caribbean Fever Music Festival

Dec. 17 at 8 p.m.

It might feel below freezing outside, but the Caribbean Music Festival will heat things up with its island style. Get moving with energetic performances by Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick and others.

Brooklyn Hoops Holiday Invitational

Dec. 22 at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

’Tis the season — for college basketball. Spread the holiday cheers — and jeers — with this first-ever event featuring showdowns between Hofstra University and Tulane University, and Long Island University and Seton Hall.

Coldplay and Jay-Z

Dec. 31 at 7 p.m.

End the year on a high note with one of music’s most celebrated mash-ups. By blending Hova’s slick lyricism with Coldplay’s enchanting rhythms, “JayPlay” will deliver one of the most unique concerts of the year.
