The Va-Va-Voom Vixen The most thrilling matchup at tomorrow’s Knicks-Nets game may not be on the court — thanks to Gotham’s chicly clad NBA wives. Dressed in designer threads, statement stilettos and, on occasion, more flattering versions of their man’s jerseys — custom-made, of course — they’ve turned game-day dressing into its own spectator sport. Before tip-off, five hoops hotties modeled choice game day looks for Pulse, dishing on their favorite designers, pre-game beauty regimens and what we can expect to see them in this season. The Haute Mama Alexis Welch, Amar’e Stoudemire’s fiancée, isn’t in Kansas City anymore. The Midwest native names Intermix and Jeffrey among her favorite places to shop, and a perusal of her chandeliered closet reveals an affinity for bright colors, vintage jewelry and Bond No. 9 fragrances. While she hasn’t yet settled on her look for tomorrow night, expect a certified head turner, like these vibrant Peter Pilotto pants paired with a Theory blouse and YSL shoes. The mother of three — she and Stoudemire have two young daughters and a son — isn’t the only one in the family with style. “He definitely has an eye for fashion,” she says of her husband-to-be. One of her favorite pieces is a black, slim-fit letterman jacket he designed with Rachel Roy, but she’s just as comfortable in classic fan apparel. “I’ll rock that in a minute,” she says, glancing at a Knicks hoodie.

The Va-Va-Voom Vixen “It’s like a fashion show!” Porschla Kidd says of strutting her stuff court side to watch her husband Jason. The 29-year-old Mississippi native and former model is now a full-time mom, but she still stuns in chic downtown duds, like these J Brand leather leggings, Rebecca Minkoff jacket and Louboutin pumps. The avid online shopper’s other go-to labels include A.L.C., Phillip Lim and Helmut Lang, but she doesn’t take her game-day get-up too seriously. “It’s all in good fun,” she says, noting that she does her own hair but gets help with makeup. “A lot of [us] are stay-at-home moms and we have other things to do, but going to the game is like our time to dress up — it’s an event!”

The Casual Queen “It’s probably not what you would think of an NBA wife wearing,” Christina Novak says of her casual game-day attire. “Nothing is very expensive. The shirt is from Hot Mama, a little store in Milwaukee, my jeans are Paige Denim and my shoes are $40 from DSW.” While her style has changed drastically since her days at Marquette University, where she first met husband Steve Novak — “I wore his jersey every game!” she recalls — the 29-year-old still favors classic comfort over trends, typically opting for minimal makeup, leggings, a sweater and flat boots. “I do have a 2-year-old so my wardrobe is usually things that I can chase after him in,” she quips. Comfort is also important when it comes to shopping. A fan of Nordstrom, she says “I’m not someone that can really deal with the super high-end stores and sometimes the attitudes that come with them.”

The Sultan Chic Cassandra Johnson has been taking fashion seriously since high school, where she was regularly voted “Best Dressed.” I wish I could say more about my high academic status,” she jokes. On game days, the wife of Coach Avery Johnson has her pick from a closet brimming with Dolce & Gabbana dresses and Oscar de la Renta blouses. “I try not to wear anything that’s too revealing or too out of the box,” says Johnson, who married her shot-caller husband in 1991 when he was playing for the Spurs.“But I do tend to go more fashion-forward. I’m the head coach’s wife so I try to put an outfit together that’s pleasing for my husband and pleasing for our peers.” Here, she aims to please in a leather Milly dress and edgy, thigh-high Louboutin boots. The former owner of a children’s boutique, Johnson says she loves the creative aspect of geting dressed and admits to a weakness for luxe handbags. “I just love Hermès Birkin bags,” she enthuses. “I’m not even going to fake it!”

The Stunning Sophisticate Sixteen seasons shuttling between eight teams and their respective cities, from Milwaukee to Miami, have done zilch to slow down Ramirra Stackhouse’s fashion game. “I’ve always dressed up,” says the 36-year-old. “People say, ‘It’s just a sporting event,’ but I’ve always looked at it as my husband’s place of work... so I don’t want to come looking shabby!” She’s anything but, here in a fitted Diane von Furstenburg dress her hubby got for her. “I’m really lucky because Jerry likes to shop for me, so eighty percent of the stuff I have, he’s picked out,” she says. “ When left to her own devices, Ramirra favors mixing Nets gear with Joe’s Jeans, a Balenciaga bag and killer heels from Guisseppe Zanotti, Louboutin or YSL. “But,” says the mother of three, “I like things to be comfortable so I can’t go too crazy.”
