Judge nails Dykstra

LOS ANGELES — Former Met outfielder Lenny Dykstra has been sentenced to 6 1/2 months in prison for hiding and selling sports memorabilia and other items that were supposed to be part of his bankruptcy filing.

US District Judge Dean Pregerson also ordered Dykstra to pay $200,000 in restitution and perform 500 hours of community service. Dykstra pleaded guilty to bankruptcy fraud and money laundering, and prosecutors were asking for a 2 1/2-year prison sentence.

Dykstra is currently serving a three-year prison sentence after pleading no contest to grand theft auto.
