Far Rockaway line sets sale

The MTA released a limited run of Rockaways H train merchandise yesterday, with all proceeds going to the area’s storm victims.

T-shirts and hoodies bearing the logo of the recently resurrected shuttle line will be sold on the New York Transit Museum’s online store.

Magnets and pins with the blue logo are also for sale.

Taking a page from New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie — whose fleece was immortalized in “Saturday Night Live” skit — MTA Chairman Joseph Lhota donned one of the H line hoodies in a snapshot released by the agency.

Christie’s wife said she was offered $1,000 for her husband’s jacket, which he wore throughout the storm, and was considering auctioning it off.

But H line hoodies are going for the bargain price of $34.

T-shirts cost $20, and the magnets cost between $3 and $3.50.

“The H Line has piqued a lot of interest in subway service in the Rockaways,” said Mark Heavey, MTA Director of Marketing & Communications.

“[The merchandise] presented us with a unique opportunity to promote the service and to provide tangible assistance to efforts to rebuild that community.”

The MTA set up the H shuttle — which operates between the Far Rockaway-Mott Avevue station and Beach 90th Street — last month to help residents get around while the A train was down.

The A train’s tracks were damaged in the storm.

It’s unclear when they will be restored.
