Meno-rah! It’s Hanukkah!

L’chaim! The Festival of Lights has begun!

Hanukkah began yesterday at sundown — and the holiday kicked off in New York with the ceremonial lighting of a 4,000-pound, 32-foot-tall steel menorah at the edge of Central Park.

Hanukkah, which means dedication, symbolizes the triumph of good over evil.

It commemorates the Jewish uprising in the second century B.C. against the Greek-Syrian kingdom.
