Beau eyed in combat-knife killing of girlfriend, whose rotting body was found in their Queens home

A Queens man is suspected of fatally stabbing his 62-year-old girlfriend with a combat knife in a murder-suicide attempt inside their home, police sources said today.

The body of the woman, whose name was not released, was discovered decomposing on the second floor of the three-story house on 54th Avenue near 90 Street in Elmhurst around 9 a.m., sources said.

She had been stabbed several times with a Bowie knife, sources said.

Cops had been called to the house this morning after receiving reports of a man barricading himself inside, sources said.

The woman’s 63-year-old boyfriend was later wheeled out on a stretcher wearing nothing but underwear and socks, according to neighbors and police sources.

The man, who was not identified, had stab wounds that investigators believe were self-inflicted, sources said. He has not yet been charged in the slaying.

“He came out practically naked,” said Daniel Gonzaga, 16. “He was in a really bad mood, like something had gone wrong.

The small home resembles a boarding house, with several rooms for rent on each floor, neighbors said.

Residents said the victim regularly fought with her neighbors and landlord over her tossing garbage out the window and into the driveway, inciting the landlord’s dog.

Despite the feuding, neighbors were shocked at the developments.

“It kind of freaked me out,” Gonzaga said. “Nothing like this ever happens around here.”

Another neighbor said the man wheeled out seemed “very nice.”

“He was kind, friendly, always saying hello,” he added.
