Guatemalan cops nabbed anti-virus software guru — and murder suspect — John McAfee yesterday for illegally entering the country.
McAfee crossed into Guatemala to evade police in Belize, who want to question him about the murder of his American neighbor, Gregory Faull, last month.
The eccentric 67-year-old has been hiding in plain sight in Belize, dodging cops and giving interviews.
His lawyer in Guatemala is Telesforo Guerra, that nation’s former attorney general and uncle of his girlfriend, Samantha.
“It is a country bordering Belize, it is a country that understands the corruption within Belize, and most importantly, the former attorney general of the country is Samantha’s uncle, and I knew that he would assist,” McAfee said of his choice to enter Guatemala.
