‘Lincoln’ has Senate floor

WASHINGTON — Break out the popcorn!

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has invited director Steven Spielberg to screen “Lincoln” on the Senate floor Dec. 19.

Movies are often screened at the White House and President Obama had Spielberg and the cast over last month to watch “Lincoln.”

But this screening would be a rarity at the Senate. “Hope they take notes,” quipped a Senate Republican insider.

Republicans couldn’t resist noting that Reid was doing it for a movie about a Republican president.
