Cops are on the lookout for two cell phone thieves who robbed two women inside of the West 4th Street subway station last month.

On Nov. 26th the pair approached a 26-year-old woman at around 12:30 p.m. and asked if she had the time. When the woman reached for her phone, one of the women slapped it out of her hand, picked it up off the ground, and fled the station on foot, according to police. The victim was unharmed.

The thieves struck again on Nov. 29 around 1:00 p.m., this time sneaking up on a 21-year-old woman who had her phone in-hand. One of the perps held the woman’s arms while the other grabbed the phone from her hand before the two fled the station. The victim in that incident was also unharmed, cops said.

Cops said the thieves were black women between the ages of 16 and 18. Both are approximately 5-foot-5 and 110 pounds.
