HERO
It was a phenomenal day for rookie first-round pick David Wilson, who charged up the Giants with a game-tying 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, ran for two scores (52 and 6 yards) and had two other kickoff returns for 58 and 52yards. He had four touches of at least 50 yards on the day.
UNSUNG HERO
Eli Manning could have been the “top hero” thanks to his season-high four touchdown passes. But he also threw two bad interceptions, one returned 72 yards for a TD. He has eight touchdowns and two picks over the past three weeks.
ZERO
Drew Brees tossed two interceptions and his offense was held to just 20 points (the Saints get seven on an interception return). That’s a long way from the 49 points New Orleans hung on the Giants last year at the Superdome.
KEY STAT
327 Total all-purpose yards by Wilson — 227 on kickoff returns and 100 rushing — which is a new team record.
