Bam greets ‘anti-US’ PSYcho

WASHINGTON — It’s politics, Gangnam style.

President Obama shook hands with Korean rapper PSY at the annual Christmas in Washington event — just days after the Internet phenom apologized for singly offensive anti-American lyrics he sang several years ago.

Obama greeted PSY, who was born Park Jae-sang and sported a bright red sequined shirt Sunday, while also meeting other celebs who took part in the charity concert.

At the event, PSY gave a performance of his hit, “Gangnam Style” — the most-viewed video on YouTube ever — which features a high-energy “horse” dance and the refrain: “Eh sexy lady, op op op op oppan Gangnam Style.”

Before his weekend performance, PSY issued an apology for his 2004 rap of Korean metal band N.EX.T.’s song, “Dear American.” The song included the coldblooded line: “Kill those f–king Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives . . . Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers. Kill them all slowly and painfully.”

“I’m deeply sorry for how these lyrics could be interpreted,” PSY said in a recent statement. “I will forever be sorry for any pain I have caused anyone by those words.”

Obama and his family also presented a basket of gifts to four former cancer patients dressed as elves.
