Police seek Long Island suspect who fired at car

Police are looking for a Long Island man who fired shots at his girlfriend’s car.

Suffolk County police say they responded after getting a call about shots fired on Maple Place in Amityville at 9 p.m. Sunday.

They say the suspect fired at the car during a heated argument with his girlfriend. She was not injured.

According to Newsday, she told police she believed he fled into the house and barricaded himself inside. But police say it turns out he fled the scene instead.

When Emergency Services Unit officers entered the house they found no one inside.
