A Jackson family feud got physical in California yesterday with Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies called to break up a fight, sources said.
The disturbance happened at the Calabasas home of Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine, who is the legal guardian of MJ’s kids Paris, Prince and Blanket, according to cops and a lawyer for the family matriarch.
Janet Jackson allegedly slapped Paris and called her a “spoiled little b—-.”
Paris allegedly responded by screaming, “This is our house. Not the Jackson family house. Get the f— out!”
“Jackson family members ran up to Michael’s children as they yelled and began to aggressively grab at the cell phones in their hands,” said Katherine Jackson’s lawyer Sandra Ribera.
“Out of concern for the well being of Prince, Paris, and Blanket Jackson, the children were forced to temporarily leave their home and taken to a safe location. An altercation ensued shortly thereafter and law enforcement arrived at the scene.”
Deputies responded to Katherine Jackson’s home at about 1:10 p.m. on Monday, said Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore.
There were no arrests, but the case remains under investigation as a possible battery, according to Whitmore.
Ribera and Whitmore did not name those involved. But sources told The Post that MJ’s siblings Jermaine, Randy and Janet were the ones trying to take the kids’ cell phones.
Surveillance video aired on “Good Morning America” today showed the altercation.
Katherine Jackson has not been at her Calabasas home for more than a week, and executors of MJ’s estate will reportedly go to court and ask for guardianship of the kids.
The executors will claim that Katherine is being kept away from her grandchildren as part of an ongoing fight over MJ’s will, according to TMZ.com.
The celebrity gossip Web site also reported that Tito Joe Jackson — Tito’s 34-year-old kid and MJ’s nephew — is also preparing a legal bid to become temporary guardian of Paris, Prince and Blanket.
The kids are reportedly OK with TJ despite an ongoing beef the elder Tito has with them and Katherine.
MJ’s teen-aged daughter Paris insists that her guardian Katherine Jackson is legally “missing” and she wants cops to find her.
Jermaine Jackson has said that’s nonsense and that Katherine is comfortably resting on doctor’s orders in Arizona.
These are the latest developments in a weird Jackson family drama that’s been brewing for months.
MJ’s siblings, led primarily by brothers Jermaine, Randy and Tito, want to challenge their brother’s will, claiming it’s a fraud, sources said.
But mom Katherine Jackson and MJ’s kids want nothing to do with the long-short legal bid because they’re well cared for under terms of the estate, sources said.
Paris tweeted this morning that she wants to see her grandmother as soon as possible: “9 days and counting… so help me god i will make whoever did this pay.”
The LA County Sheriff’s reps have said they believe Katherine Jackson is alive and well with family, but would still like to chat with her to make sure she’s OK.
