Council Speaker Christine Quinn yesterday called on NYU to boot Chick-fil-A from its campus because the fast-food chain’s CEO, Dan Cathy, donated $2 million in 2010 to anti-gay groups.
“Chick-fil-A is not welcome in New York City as long as the company’s president continues to uphold and promote his discriminatory views,” she said, adding that the current employees of Chick-fil-A should be re-hired by whatever business replaces it.
