The bank-robber wannabe in the above picture walked out empty handed, and no doubt more than a bit deflated, after an East Village teller refused to comply with his demands.

He entered the Emigrant branch on Second Avenue near East Sixth Street at 3:10 p.m. on June 4 and passed the teller a note, police said.

He abruptly left when all he got was a blank stare.

The burglar pictured above scored a laptop and other belongings from an Inwood apartment, authorities said.

The thief allegedly slipped in and out of the sixth-floor pad on Laurel Hill Terrace near Amsterdam Avenue in the early afternoon of July 17.

Queens

The guy in this picture had been suspected of knocking off two Elmhurst banks Thursday, but he has now been linked to four more heists, authorities said yesterday.

He kicked off his spree in Staten Island last Sunday at the Northfield branch on Hylan Boulevard in New Dorp, police said.

On Monday and Tuesday, he robbed the same Chase bank, on Graham Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

He next hit the Citibank branch on Metropolitan Avenue in Ridgewood, Queens, on Wednesday.

Investigators said he managed to walk off with cash on five of those six occasions.

He is described as 25 to 35 years old and about 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds — and has the word “Tension” tattooed on the back of his neck.

Staten Island

Two brothers busted in Great Kills had allegedly gone on a three-week crime spree, authorities said yesterday.

Cops caught up with Brian Chambers, 32, and Christopher Chambers, 27, Wednesday after they unsuccessfully tried to break into a house on Wilson Avenue at about 12:10 a.m., boosted a cash register from the Jade Island Restaurant on Richmond Avenue at 1:15 a.m. and trespassed onto a construction site at 4a.m., records show.

They were apprehended at 5 a.m. near their Notre Dame Avenue home.

Police said the two also burglarized the Annadale Diner on July 5 and stole $1,500 from the Bomond Restaurant in Great Kills the following night.

They were also accused of shoplifting from a Pathmark supermarket in New Springville on July 18.

Each brother was slapped with a slew of similar charges, according to the Staten Island District Attorney’s Office.

A New Brighton teen finds himself charged with attempted murder after shooting a man in the buttocks last month, authorities said.

Jermaine Williams, 18, was picked up Monday in connection with the June 25 attack on Westervelt Avenue.

Detectives say he and a man argued over a woman until Williams left, then returned — gun in hand — at about 9:45 p.m. and proceeded to open fire.

The wounded man was treated at the Richmond University Medical Center and released.

Police are seeking the man in the above photo in connection with an Oakwood bank robbery.

They say he entered the Capital One branch on Hylan Boulevard near Reno Avenue at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday and demanded that a teller fork over some dough.

The teller complied, and the crook made off with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

A burglar got away with some pricey electronics and $100 in cash from a Mediterranean restaurant in Williamsburg, cops said.

The 36-year-old owner of the Mahzen Grill, on Grand Street near Graham Avenue, told cops that he discovered the theft on the morning of July 20. He was adamant that he’d locked up properly the night before, the cops said.

Reported missing, along with the cash, were a black iPad 2 worth $400 and an HP laptop worth $700.

A man held up a Bushwick gas station at gunpoint, police said.

He allegedly flashed his firearm at a clerk in the Getty station on Reid Avenue at 6:30 a.m. on July 18, grabbed an unknown amount of cash and fled.
