Actress, singer and writer Antonique Smith sat down for a chat with New York Post Name Check’s Michael Riedel. The multi- talented artist stars in the independent film “Yelling to the Sky” which opens in New York City theaters Friday and is available On Demand and iTunes.
The movie is about a 17 year old Sweetness O’Hara, who is left to fend for herself in a neighborhood where her survival is uncertain after her family falls apart. Antonique stars opposite Zoe Kravitz and Gabourey Sidibe.
The East Orange, New Jersey native is known by fans for her roles in “Notorious” and Broadway’s “Rent.” Smith told Name Check she knew she wanted to be a star at the age of three. Smith is well on her way to becoming a bright shining star with Broadway under her belt, movie roles and a forthcoming album.
