Protesters descend on Bx. courthouse during cop’s hearing in Ramarley Graham shooting

About 100 protesters descended on the Bronx courthouse today as the NYPD cop accused of killing unarmed 18-year-old Ramarley Graham appeared for a routine hearing.

Fifty people chanted and held signs outside the building as another 50 protesters — including Graham’s parents — were inside the courthouse for the proceeding involving Officer Richard Haste.

Haste, 31, appeared with his lawyers to hear a judge adjourn the case to March 26 after his side asked for the delay. Haste faces up to 25 years if found guilty of first- and second-degree manslaughter charges in the case.

“We’re going to be here every day [Haste is in court] to have a presence,” said Graham’s mom, Constance Malcolm.

Haste had chased Graham into his family’s Wakefield apartment Feb. 2 after the cop and other narcotics officers allegedly witnessed the teen make a drug deal.

After several radio transmissions indicating Graham might be armed, Haste found the teen in the bathroom, apparently trying to flush pot down the toilet. According to Haste’s side, Graham made a quick move toward his waist, and Haste fatally shot him once.

Protesters outside court today held signs saying, “Murdered by the NYPD,” “Justice for Ramarley’’ and “No warrant, no entry.”
