Knicks’ Smith could miss Lakers game with back spasms

J.R. Smith played the second half of the Knicks’ 100-97 triumph over the Nets with back spasms, following a collision in the second quarter with the Nets’ Gerald Wallace, and his status is up in the air for tomorrow night’s game against the Lakers at the Garden.

Still, the Knicks guard broke out of his shooting slump with 16 points. Smith was 7-of-15 from the field, though he missed all four of his 3-point attempts. In his prior 10 games, Smith was 37-for 122 (30.3 percent).

Smith underwent treatment for 45 minutes after the game.

“As long as he’s doing other things on the floor, I’ll take it,’’ Knicks coach Mike Woodson said. “He’ll shoot his way out of it.’’
