Jeter insurer’s $og story

Derek Jeter’s insurance carrier is suing his former neighbor for almost $300,000 for damaging the Yankee slugger’s $15 million Upper East Side apartment.

The suit, filed yesterday in Manhattan Supreme Court, claims water leaked during renovations into Jeter’s digs from the $33 million penthouse one floor above owned by Chinh Chu, an exec with buyout giant Blackstone.

The insurer wants Chu to pay back the $273,850 it paid Jeter.
