JUGGLING ACT: If the traditional big top is a bit too, well, big for your little ones, the vaudeville-style Squirm Burpee Circus should be a better fit. Expect lots of juggling, dancing, acrobatics and more, all with a hefty side of slapstick. 2 and 7 p.m., $32. Queens Theatre, 14 United Nations Ave. South, enter on Roosevelt Avenue between 114th and 115th streets; 718-760-0064, queenstheatre.org

DAY FOR KNIGHTS: Basically a smaller, more historically accurate Renaissance Fair, the Medieval Court Family Festival at the Cloisters shows kids what life was like for various members of the court — ladies, knights, cooks, jokers and more. Noon, free with admission (suggested donation: $25 for adults, $17 for students, free for kids under 12). Fort Tryon Park, 99 Margaret Corbin Drive, Washington Heights; 212-923-3700, metmuseum.org

BIG RED: Kids don’t have to miss all the fun just because they can’t stay up late enough to ring in 2013. Clifford’s Happy New Year Party at the Scholastic Store will include an afternoon countdown to “midnight” complete with noisemakers and a dance party, plus resolution-making with the Big Red Dog himself. 3 p.m., free. 557 Broadway, between Prince and Spring streets; 212-343-6166, scholastic.com/sohostore

Tomorrow

ICE, ICE BABY:
It’s your last chance to catch ice carving at the Bronx Zoo, where tots can whisk down a 25-foot ice slide flanked by sculptures of sharks and sea lions, watch ice-carving artists and check out “The Polar Express 4-D Experience.” $20.95 adults, $15.95 kids ages 12 to 3. 2300 Southern Blvd., at Fordham Road; 718-220-5100, bronxzoo.org

TEA FOR TWO: Bring your favorite furry companion to the Mount Vernon Hotel Museum & Garden’s annual Teddy Bear Tea, where kids ages 3 to 6 (and their beloved stuffed pals) can experience hotel living circa 1830. Try out vintage toys, help with “chores,” and snack on cookies and fruit tea. Don’t have a teddy bear? Dolls are welcome, too. 1 p.m., $10 for adults, $5 for kids under 12. 421 E. 61st Street, between First and York avenues; 212-838-6878, mvhm.org
