Court nixes France gouge

Gerard Depardieu can go home now.

A top French court put the kibosh yesterday on the government’s plan for a 75 percent marginal tax rate on the nation’s highest earners.

Actor Depardieu was among the wealthy to flee France in anger. He moved to Belgium, where taxes on the rich are much lower.

The ruling is the latest embarrassment for President Francois Hollande and his Socialist Party.
