Train ‘runover’ survivor

A man jumped in front of an oncoming uptown C local at Penn Station yesterday — but survived without a scratch by lying flat between the tracks as the train screeched to a halt over him, witnesses said.

It took emergency personnel and firefighters 20 minutes to pull the unidentified man from beneath the train — which missed him entirely as it pulled in at 2:45 p.m., according to several accounts.

Once back on the platform, police took the man — described as black, tall and in his late 20s or early 30s — to St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital for evaluation.
