Who knew what a bouzouki was — let alone that it could be so pricey?

A custom-made bouzouki — a Greek stringed instrument similar to a mandolin — was snatched from a car near Kramer Street and Norway Avenue at about 5 p.m. Christmas Eve, cops said.

But the alleged thief left behind a cellphone, and it conveniently included a phone number and address in case the phone was lost or — you know — stolen.

Detectives soon busted Barbara Castro, 39, but not before she had sold the hot bouzouki to a pawn shop on Bay Street for $120, according to court documents.

The instrument’s 35-year-old owner placed its value at $2,700.

Castro was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, the court papers say.
