Library card likely a SIM

Around 13 percent of Americans ages 16 and older used a mobile device to visit a library Web site during the past year, reports a study released yesterday.

Patrons ages 18 to 49 were the most likely to access a site via a mobile device, and those 65 and older were least likely, a Pew report said.

A 2009 University of Washington study showed only 6 percent of patrons using mobile library access, Pew said.
