Ex-con slips back into burglary: DA

He might be a robber — but he’s no liar.

A newly sprung jailbird sang like a canary after he was caught for an alleged break-in — admitting to taking part in two earlier robberies he wasn’t even asked about, prosecutors said.

Norman Baker told cops he went on a two-day home-invasion spree that started Dec. 24 — just hours after he was released from a nine-year prison stint for robbery.

Baker, 41, and buddy Frank Morrow were caught on Christmas night after allegedly burglarizing a home in Rego Park, Queens.

The two men were charged with first-degree burglary and robbery, according to a spokesman for the Queens District Attorney’s Office.

While at the precinct station house, the paroled Baker allegedly admitted to being the getaway driver in two other robberies with Morrow and another accomplice named as Ray.

“Frank and Ray left the car. They came back with coins, laptops and some money. We sold some things to two stores,” prosecutors said Baker told detectives.

Queens Criminal Court Judge Stephanie Zaro set a $200,000 cash bail for Baker and $50,000 for Morrow.

Baker’s attorney said he will “hopefully work out a plea agreement” with prosecutors.

If convicted, the cohorts face up to 15 years in prison.
