Bx. bldg. perv suit

A Bronx woman is suing her landlord because the building super, a registered sex offender, allegedly assaulted her 14-year-old daughter.

In her Bronx Supreme Court suit, the mom alleges the owners of 3940 Carpenter Ave. and two agencies that managed it were negligent in hiring Oscar Perez, 57.

The suit says a background check would have revealed that in 1999, Perez spent three months behind bars for first-degree sexual abuse.

“What you have is a guy living in a building with access to every unit in the building. This guy is pure scum,” said Adam Handler, the mom’s lawyer.

Perez was arrested two days after the alleged Aug. 11, 2010, attack.

The landlord, 3940 Carpenter Avenue LLC, and the management agencies, Lemle & Wolff Inc. and SG2 Management LLC, were unavailable for comment or did not return messages.
