Easier sked lies ahead for Giants

It is always dangerous to scan a schedule and project its difficulty, but there is no doubt the 2012 Giants could not overcome what was, on paper, the toughest schedule in the NFL. Based on the way things look, it appears the Giants will not have to endure such a difficult grind in 2013.

The Giants’ schedule for next season includes only five playoff teams. A matchup with one of those teams, the Broncos, sets up another Manning Bowl featuring Eli and Peyton. That game will be at MetLife Stadium.

The Giants were the only team in the NFL to finish with a record of 9-7 and have the No. 19 pick in the draft. In addition to home and away games with their NFC East rivals, the Giants face the NFC North and AFC West next season.
