‘Bomb-packing’ Harvard grad Aaron Greene indicted

A Manhattan grand jury has indicted alleged explosives-packing Harvard grad Aaron Greene, prosecutors announced today.

A somber-looking Greene was hauled from jail to court to hear the bad news. Then he was dragged back to jail — with no bail set — to await his next court date, Jan. 29, at which time he’ll be given the chance to enter a plea of not guilty.

Greene and his live-in girlfriend, Dalton-grad Morgan Gliedman — both the children of Manhattan millionaires — were busted Saturday in their posh West Village apartment for possessing explosives and shotguns.

Cops say they found seven grams of HMTD — a highly explosive white powder — along with a 12-gauge shotgun, a Ruger shotgun and 60 shotgun shells.

They also found manuals with titles including, “Terrorist Encyclopedia,” “FM 5-25 Explosives and Demolition,” “FM 5-31 Booby Traps,” “Improvised and Modified Firearms: Deadly Homemade Weapons” and “The Do It Yourself Submachine Gun.”

The two face up to 15 years prison on explosives and firearms possession charges.

Greene’s girlfriend, Gliedman, remained in police custody this morning at St. Luke’s Hospital, where she delivered the couple’s baby girl, Melody, by Cesarean section on Monday. Gliedman is the Park Avenue-raised daughter of Beth Israel Brooklyn radiation oncology chief Paul Gliedman and Realtor Susyn Schops Gliedman.

Greene’s mom and dad, who own a multi-million-dollar apartment on Crosby St., were in the audience to watch the brief proceeding. Greene’s dad, Jeff, is the president of architectural restoration firm Evergreene Architectural Arts. They declined to speak to reporters.
