LI ‘killer’: I’m sorry

A Long Island man pummeled a friend to death and hid the corpse in a neighboring backyard, cops said.

“I’m sorry for what I did! I’m extremely sorry!” Edward Brown, 46, yelled to the media yesterday after being arraigned in a Nassau County court for the murder of Nunzio Izzo, 56, at Brown’s Glen Cove home.

Brown, who was ordered held without bail, repeatedly struck Izzo about the head and face on Dec. 17, a criminal complaint charges.

Izzo’s family reported him missing, and the body was found Thursday beneath a container and a tarp in a back yard near Brown’s property.

Cops declined to say what sparked the fatal argument.
