3 killed in two-car B’klyn smashup horror

A young Brooklyn driver blew through a red light and slammed into another car yesterday, killing himself and two others and leaving a friend in critical condition, police said.

Jonathan Sade, 21, of Sheepshead Bay, was heading east on Avenue U at around 2 a.m. with three friends when he sped through the light at East Fifth Street, smashing into a red Toyota Camry and killing the two people inside.

Andre Capers-Jones, 26, of Prospect Park South, and Leonora Lavaud, 24, of Park Slope, were friends heading home from a movie when Sade’s black Acura slammed into their car.

Capers-Jones, Lavaud and Sade were pronounced dead at the scene. Sade’s surviving passenger, Dimitriy Stephaskin, 26, was taken to Lutheran Medical Center with head injuries. The impact sent Sade’s Acura careening into nearby parked cars and forced the Toyota into the path of an MTA bus.

Lavaud’s grieving parents went to the crash scene to survey the damage. They said the older of their two daughters, who was a sorority member and Brooklyn College student, recently moved into her own apartment.

“They came to my door early this morning and said she was gone,” Lavaud’s weeping mother told The Post. “She was beautiful, smart. She was fun loving, she was vibrant. My beautiful, beautiful daughter.”

Jane Martin-Lavaud, 53, and Philippe Lavaud, 54, said police told them Sade was doing 70 mph when the crash happened.
