A young man was fatally gunned down and a woman wounded in a shooting in East Flatbush tonight, police said.
Kellan John, 22, was shot near East 42nd Street in the Brooklyn neighborhood around 5:30 p.m., authorities said.
The woman, 26, identified by law-enforcement sources as Navia Davis, took a bullet to the leg but is expected to survive.
The gunman fled, authorities said.
One resident said John had been living in the neighborhood for only a few months.
“He was a nice, nice young man,’’ the neighbor said.
An aunt of Davis added, “We don’t know what happened. We only know she got shot. We’re on our way to the hospital to see if she’s OK.”
