Meet the 13 ladies who will be making waves in industries ranging from music and fashion to tech and art in the new year. -- DANA SCHUSTER (above) THE TASTEMAKER: Leandra Medine, 24 The Buzz: As creator of the much-adored "Man Repeller" blog, Medine's quirky, mismatched styling has turned her into one of the most recognizable names in fashion. Relationship status: married to financier Abie Cohen Cool-girl cachet: "Chanel flew me to Scotland for their pre-fall show . . . at one dinner I looked up and just thought, 'I can't believe I'm sitting across from Kim Basinger.' " Stomping grounds: Medine grew up on the Upper East Side, but her heart resides downtown, from the Bowery Hotel in the East Village to Soho House in the Meatpacking District. THE RAPPER: Kilo Kish, 22 The Buzz: Ever since gracing the cover of the Village Voice last May for her self-released debut EP, “Homeschool,” Kilo Kish has gone from Pratt art studentcum- Miss Lily’s waitress to the next big thing in rap. The sometimes model with a mellow voice has collaborated with everyone from Childish Gambino to A$AP Rocky. Relationship status: beau of six months Cool-girl cachet: Restaurateur Serge Becker has taken Kish under his wing. “He’s helped me out since I moved to New York when I was 18,” says Kish. “He’s one of the best people.” Stomping grounds: You’ll find the Clinton Hill resident at Pulqueria, Le Baron in Chinatown and Lovely Day in NoLIta. Style staples : “I rarely dress up. I wear a lot of black. I’m still getting out of that artschool style . . . I’m so used to having gross paint and stuff all over my clothes.” Forecast for 2013: Kish will drop her follow-up, “K-Plus,” online for free at the beginning of February. “It’s kind of an all-encompassing project of some of my art ideas and music,” she says. She sets off on a European tour in March.

THE DOCUMENTARIAN: Ashley Bush, 23 The Buzz: After a stint working for Anderson Cooper, the Texas heiress (and sister of model/philanthropist Lauren Bush Lauren), is co-producing a documentary on the Rose Festival in her home state. “The town Tyler, Texas, lives and breathes this coming-out festival that is more than a debutante ball . . . it’s a generational festival that has gone on for 80 years now.” Relationship status: single Stomping grounds: The SoHo resident favors local spots like Mother’s Ruin and the East Village’s Max, as well as her sister’s kitchen. THE HEIRESS: Christina Huffington, 23 The Buzz: Daughter of Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington, Christina is dipping her toe into the family business. She’s day-lighting as the assistant editor at HuffPost Women; moonlighting as her mother’s plus-one to a bevy of starstudded events. Relationship status: The Yale senior is dating “a fellow redhead.” “We’re going to have ginger babies with no souls,” she jokes. Stomping grounds: The SoHo resident, who doesn’t drink, opts for more low-key locales such as Grey Dog. THE MUSE: Alessandra Codinha, 24 The Buzz: While covering nightlife for Women’s Wear Daily, this Boston-raised beauty was often photographed more than the celebs in attendance. She’s now an associate editor for beauty blog Into the Gloss. Relationship status: boyfriend of one year Cool-girl cachet: “One of the first events I covered for WWD was the Keith Richards party for Louis Vuitton by Vice . . . I idolized Keith Richards, so sitting down to talk to him for 15 minutes at the Rose Bar was pretty insane. THE AESTHETE: Kyle DeWoody, 28 The Buzz: The daughter of famed art collector Beth Rudin DeWoody and artist father Jim DeWoody, the young DeWoody co-founded Grey Area in 2011, an art/design initiative with pop-up shops that have offered everything from Michelle Lopez Band-Aid rings to towels by Julian Schnabel. Relationship status: “I’m doing my darndest to stay single.” Stomping grounds: DeWoody, who lives in Greenwich Village, favors dining at her friend’s restaurant Acme or partying at the Wooly, which she helped design. THE DOWNTOWN PUBLICIST: Sydney Reising, 25 The Buzz: After getting her start working the door for “those Beatrice guys,” she went on to promote Chinatown hot spot Red Egg. Reising now works as a publicist for skater brand Supreme and the Cools, a “social marketplace” boasting items curated by a list of NYC’s tastemaker elite. Relationship status: single Cool-girl cachet: After getting skateboarding lessons from pro skater Eli Reed (as documented by Harper’s Bazaar), Reising now rides all the time — well, at least to Max Fish. Stomping grounds: Never worried about making the list, Reising hits up see-and-beseen spots such as Acme and Electric Room. THE ACTRESS: Zoë Kravitz, 24 The Buzz: The comely daughter of musician Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet is building up an impressive IMDb page of her own. After co-staring in 2011’s “X-Men: First Class,” the young actress has a slew of new flicks on the way, and paparazzi pics aplenty. THE JEWELER: Danielle Snyder, 27 The Buzz: One-half of the sister duo behind cult-fave jewelry brand, Dannijo, Snyder’s got everyone from Natalie Portman to Florence Welch sporting her and co-founder Jodie Snyder’s colorful necklaces and cuffs. Relationship status: single Cool-girl cachet: “I got to interview Richard Branson for the Huffington Post, which was cool. THE DJ: Chelsea Leyland, 24 The Buzz: Leyland is the DJ du jour. The English transplant spins for everyone from Valentino to Paper magazine. Relationship status: in a four-year relationship with hotel/nightlife impresario Ben Pundole Cool-girl cachet: “My most surreal moment was opening for Diplo and Santigold.” Stomping grounds: Leyland likes lowkey, but sceney — the Hotel Delmano in Brooklyn for oysters, the Fat Radish on the Lower East Side and ABC Kitchen in the Flatiron District. THE DESIGNER: Sally LaPointe, 28 The Buzz: LaPointe is the edgy designer of an eponymous clothing line worn by the likes of Carrie Underwood, Alessandra Ambrosio and Lady Gaga. Relationship status: in a relationship Cool-girl cachet: “I’ve done a few custom pieces for Lady Gaga and pieces for her ‘Judas’ video,” says LaPointe, who’s dressed the pop star nearly a dozen times and was named one of Forbes’ “30 Under 30.” Stomping grounds: LaPointe’s clients may be all Hollywood, but her tastes, at least drink-wise, skew more dive-y. THE ENTREPRENEUR: Alexa Hirschfeld, 28 The Buzz: The Harvard grad and Manhattan native is the co-founder of Paperless Post, the chic online invite company (which just launched a paper line, too) favored by the likes of Diane von Furstenberg. She has brains, Gwyneth Paltrow good looks and, yeah, a few accolades under her belt. (She was named one of Fortune’s “10 Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs” in 2010.) Relationship status: single Cool-girl cachet: “I really enjoyed meeting Charlie Rose and Gayle King,” says Hirschfeld, who appeared on “CBS This Morning” with her brother and co-founder, James, 26, in November. Stomping grounds: Despite looking prim and proper, Hirschfeld’s got her pulse on the party scene. But when she married hotelier Sean MacPherson, she catapulted to bona fide socialite. Relationship status: married with a son, Maxwell, 1 Cool-girl cachet: “I went to a party at the Boom Boom Room and I was dancing about a foot away from Madonna and I was thinking, ‘Oh my God.
