Since she was cast — at age 9 — as Harry Potter’s Hogwarts classmate Hermione, Emma Watson has enjoyed the benefits of her very youthful looks.
But they turned into an embarrassment last month at Kennedy Airport when passport-control officials didn’t recognize her — or believe that the now-22-year-old actress was even an adult.
Watson, who was flying alone before a Christmas vacation, said she was stopped and asked where her parent or guardian was.
“Passport control: ‘Where is ur guardian?’ ” Watson wrote in a Twitter message about the Dec. 22 incident.
“Me; ‘I’m 22!!!!!!!’ Never wearing a backpack again.”
Watson in real life is taking a break from Brown University to continue her film career — including playing a high-school student in the recent “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.”
