‘Arrested Development’ will hit Netflix with nudity

LOS ANGELES — “Arrested Development” is ready to show some skin when it debuts on Netflix in May.

“There will be nudity,” executive producer Mitch Hurwitz tells the Post.

So who will it be?

“One of the principle [actors] … but we are still bleeping language,” Hurwitz says.

A quick video montage was screened for reporters today showing George Michael (Michael Cera) in the shower, Gob (Will Arnett) being crucified in a strange stage show, and Michael (Jason Bateman) leaning in to a kiss an unseen woman.

Other spoilers were kept carefully guarded.

“Arrested” — which debuted on Fox in 2003 — will focus each new episode on a different member of the Bluth family.

“Everybody sort of intermingles through each person’s individual episode,” Bateman explained. “But it is a ‘Lindsay’ episode or a ‘Gob’ episode that we guest star in.”

By making one actor the “star” of each episode, producers were able to get around paying enormous salaries to everyone.

Bateman is the only cast member to appear in the entire series, Hurwitz says. The others will each make brief appearances in a handful of episodes.

“It makes more sense for the audience than the old show did because we are focusing on one character at a time,” Hurwitz says. “So I think this could be more inviting to a new audience.”

All 14 new installments will be made available on the streaming service the same day, the network confirmed. But it will be best to view them in a prescribed order,

“There is absolutely an order that we have put together to get the maximum number of surprises,” Hurwitz says.

After “Arrested” was cancelled in 2006, an offer was extended to revive the program on Showtime.

“It was presented to me at the time as half the money for half the show,” Hurwitz revealed. “I was not interested in doing half the cast and a more simplified ‘Arrested Development.’”

With the cast reunited, plans are already in the works for an “Arrested Development” movie, Hurwitz says.
