High Line, make way for the High Bridge.
Mayor Bloomberg broke ground yesterday for a $61 million restoration of the 1,200-foot long High Bridge connecting The Bronx and upper Manhattan. The span opened in 1848 as part of the old Croton Aqueduct. It was closed to public use in the early 1970s.
