Slay-try rap in mistaken-ID shoot

The gunman who shot a Brooklyn father and son on the child’s birthday has been hit with an attempted-murder rap, police sources said.

Jamal Ali, 19, was also slapped with assault with intent to cause serious injury and a slew of other charges for firing on Lorenzo Simon, 38, and his 2-year-old son, Quadire, sources added.

Simon had been walking through Herbert Von King Park in Bedford-Stuyvesant with Quadire in tow at about 2:05 p.m. Thursday when Ali approached — thinking he was avenging an attack on a sibling, sources said. But it was a case of mistaken identity.

The father attempted to run into a nearby building when Ali allegedly opened fire, striking the tot in the arm and his father in the hand and torso.

They were treated at for minor injuries.
