9/11 remains safe: city

The remains of unidentified victims of 9/11 will be safe from floods if they are interred at the World Trade Center memorial site, city attorneys argued yesterday in state appellate court in Manhattan.

“There’s no evidence in the record that there is a problem with flooding,” argued Ellen Ravitch, of the city’s Law Department.

But a group of 9/11 families disagrees, in light of Hurricane Sandy.

The group has sued the city for the names of all registered family members so they can poll them.
