Gunman wounds baby, man in Brooklyn park

A gunman wounded a toddler and his father after an an argument inside a Brooklyn park this afternoon, police sources said.

The man had been walking with his child about 2:05 p.m. in Bedford-Stuyvesant at Herbert Von King Park on Lafayette Ave when they were attacked, authorities said.

Off-duty EMT Sherlock Dodson, 50, watched a man approach him and yell, “You’re the one who shot my brother!”

Police sources said he pulled a gun out on the dad.

Dodson said that the father ran towards a nearby rec center with his son while the assailant opened fire on them.

The brave tot was grazed in the arm, while father was hit in the right side of his torso and hand. “He didn’t even realize he was hit,” said Dodson. “He was just concerned about his dad. He was crying, but not in pain.”

Dodson began treating the two, and they were taken to Kings County Hospital. They were expected to survive.

Police were questioning someone at the stationhouse, but no one has been charged yet, sources said.
