Jokester Seth the host with the roast

And the nomination for snarkiest Academy Awards host goes to . . . Seth MacFarlane.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences can’t say it hasn’t been warned after MacFarlane dropped a few jaws with off-color jokes about Adolf Hitler and producer Harvey Weinstein.

The academy made the rare choice this year of having the host also announce the Oscar nominees, giving viewers a preview of the Feb. 24 show.

After announcing the Best Supporting Actress nominees — Sally Field, Anne Hathaway, Helen Hunt, Amy Adams and Jacki Weaver — MacFarlane joked about film heavyweight Weinstein.

“Congratulations,” MacFarlane said. “You five ladies no longer have to pretend to be attracted to Harvey Weinstein.”

After MacFarlane and actress Emma Stone unveiled the foreign-language film nominees, MacFarlane said, “I read ‘Amour’ was co-produced in Austria and Germany, right? The last time Austria got together and co-produced something it was Hitler, but this is much better.”

MacFarlane also received a nomination — an original-song nod from his movie “Ted” — and quipped it will get him a free pass to the ceremony, which, of course, he is already scheduled to host.

As for the festivities, “Lincoln” grabbed a leading 12 nominations, including Best Picture and Director (Steven Spielberg), as well as acting nods for Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones.

“Life of Pi” was second, with 11 nominations, ahead of “Zero Dark Thirty” and “Les Misérables,” which had been considered front-runners before yesterday’s announcement.
