Growing ire at $$ conflict

A popular Long Island organic farmer — who co-owns her business with the onetime executive chef of Manhattan’s Le Bernardin — won a grant from a taxpayer-funded group where she serves as an official adviser, records show.

Paulette Satur, who owns Satur farms with husband Eberhard Muller in Cutchogue, won the $120,000 grant through the New York State Regional Economic Development Council.

Satur said she applied online and recused herself from any role in lobbying for or approving the cash for her farm that grows leafy veggies and herbs.

But some critics still ripped the grant. “It’s disgusting. She gets money from a group that she advises?” said neighbor Jim Best, who has complained about Satur’s machinery in the past.
