Murdered slumlord wins $18K in posthumous raffle

A slain Brooklyn slumlord, whose killers are still on the loose, won an $18,000 payout on Wednesday – more than two months after his murder.

Menachem Stark spent $100 to buy 100 tickets in the raffle organized by the Bobov Hasidic sect, which ran the lottery to help poor families with wedding expenses, said family friend Isaac Abraham.

Stark purchased the winning raffle ticket from his nephew around Hanukkah last year.

The raffle drawing happened Wednesday night at the Bobov synagogue on 48th Street and 15th Avenue.

The money will go to Stark’s family.

“There’s no way in the world that the money will replace him,” Abraham said.

Stark was snatched off a street near his Williamsburg real estate office on Jan. 2.

His burning body was found in a Long Island dumpster the next day.

Stark owned several New York apartment buildings under at least a dozen corporate names.

He’s been described as a slumlord by tenants, who complained that he didn’t maintain his buildings which were overrun with vermin and had leaky ceilings, broken heaters and no heat or gas.

Stark died owing millions of dollars to contractors, various other creditors and loan sharks, according to records and law enforcement sources.
