Starr Report

Say what you want about the Super Bowl — and all the hype, blah blah blah — but anyone connected with a show that airs in the plum post-Super Bowl timeslot will tell you the value of that TV real estate.

Case in point: “Elementary,” which aired after Sunday night’s game on CBS and reeled in nearly 21 million viewers — about 8 million more viewers than its average this season (a 61 percent increase in that demo).

And that was with an 11:11 p.m. start time — the latest start time ever for a post-Super Bowl telecast (the episode ended after midnight). Those numbers also gave “Elementary” (Jonny Lee Miller, Lucy Liu) the young year’s best numbers in adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 (it tied CBS stablemate “The Big Bang Theory” in adults 25-54).

How time flies . . . Fran Healy’s Halls of Fame” series on MSG is celebrating its 25th anniversary (and over 300 episodes) by airing new episodes each month this year — including a sitdown with former Georgetown basketball coach John Thompson (next month).

“It’s always been fascinating to hear about the athletes’ personal journeys and how they got their starts in their respective sports,” says Healy. “Each star athlete has a unique story, and it’s been a passion and pleasure of mine for 25 years to bring these stories to fans.”

Over the years, Healy has interviewed the likes of Eddie Mathews, Tom Seaver, Nolan Ryan, Gale Sayers, Joe Frazier and Gordie Howe.

There’s a new book out today called “The World According to Wonder.” I tell you this because the book, available on amazon.com, is the premiere publication from LA-based production company World of Wonder, which was co-founded by filmmakers Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato (producers of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” “Tori and Dean” and “Million Dollar Listing,” among other reality shows).

The book includes never-before-seen photos and exclusive stories from controversial personalities including Chaz Bono, Andy Cohen, Larry Flynt, Chloe Sevigny and John Waters — and that’s only scratching the surface, believe me.

Bailey and Barbato are currently working on “Life with LaToya,” which will air on OWN (with LaToya Jackson).

With “Breaking Bad” endings its run this summer, some of its cast members are starting to plan for life after Albuquerque.

The latest “BB” cast member to announce her future plans is Anna Gunn (Skyler White), who’s signed on for a new Bravo drama pilot called “Rita,” which is expected to begin filming this spring. Gunn will play an “outspoken” teacher at a private school, who’s dealing with three teenage kids at home and mishegoss at work. (“Rita” is adapted from a Danish show of the same name.) If it’s picked up, which is likely, “Rita” will premiere later this year.

Betsy Brandt, who plays Marie Schrader (Hank’s wife) on “BB,” will co-star opposite Michael J. Fox (as his wife, Annie) in his upcoming NBC sitcom — while two-time Emmy winner Aaron Paul (Jesse Pinkman) has signed on to co-star in the big-screen action movie, “Need for Speed.”

Series star Bryan Cranston, meanwhile, recently inked a production deal with “BB” producer Sony Television to develop news shows, both for the company and for himself. Cranston, who’s won three Emmys for “BB,” also won two SAG Awards last month (for “BB” and for his supporting role in “Argo”).

“The Young & the Restless” star Melissa Claire Egan is auctioning off a personally guided tour of the show’s set to benefit The Riedel & Cody Fund, an animal charity that gives funding and support to people whose pets have been diagnosed with cancer — but can’t afford to treat their beloved pets.

The auction is up through Feb. 18; go to charitybuzz.com or riedelcody.org for details.

Last, but not least:

* A new episode of “Edge of America” hosted by Boston Globe writer Geoff Edgers, airs tonight at 11 on Travel Channel. The show’s been generating a lot of buzz and a lot of ink . . . Veteran reality producer Lisa Knapp has been named SVP of Development for Wendy Williams Productions, the non-fiction programming company founded by talk show host Wendy Williams and Kevin Hunter . . . Grammy-winning singer Lani Hall Alpert and husband Herb Alpert will perform at the Carlyle Hotel (East 76th) March 5-17, during which time Lani will promote her book, “Emotional Memoirs and Short Stories” . . . I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention it, since it’s a Starr Report tradition: Joe Schlosser (Shine America) is in town.
