A new competition series premiering this summer is called “Top Hooker.”
Oh, did you think the show was about sex for money?
No, it’s on Animal Planet, and it’s about fishing.
The network says the show will pit teams of expert fishers competing in odd challenges, like fishing with outlandish tools, catching fish blindfolded and netting fish with their mouths. It’s all catch-and-release.
But with titles like “Hard Core Pawn” and “Top Hookers,” reality shows are trying to get people to watch — at least once.
