Seize the day with well-built Seahawks

Including the 1997-2012 seasons in The Post, Cat’s record in print stands at 480-408 (54 percent) against the spread.

SUNDAY

Seahawks (+2) over Broncos: Peyton Manning catches a break with moderate weather forecast, but will that be enough, against brilliantly constructed defensive dynamo with enough skill people (Russell Wilson’s maturity, levelheadedness and elusiveness, Marshawn Lynch’s raw power, Golden Tate . . . Percy Harvin?) to play keep-away from Manning? Bronco game plan against lesser has been to wrest early advantage, forcing foes away from the rush. That’s not assured, here.

Telltale sign of Seahawk development: Prior to ’13, they failed to cover in nine straight outings after playing San Francisco, who will beat you up physically. They breezed twice in those spots this season, including their skunking of the Giants in this building. The model of modern roster development, the side that hasn’t been blown out anywhere since the first half of ’11 season, does it one more time. It might be the Year of the Horse, but Cat expects this to be the Saga of the Seahawk. Seattle (+2) represents the New Wave, for one unit.

TWO WEEKS AGO: 0-1. Put the headphones on, Colin, and leave us alone (49ers, minus one unit).

SEASON: 20-18-2.
