Queens man stabbed in chest, dies at hospital

A Richmond Hill man was killed in a scuffle at his home today authorities said.

His girlfriend Shirley Forbes, 63, was preparing a meal in the kitchen about 10:45 p.m. in their home on 112th Street near Jamaica Avenue when she got into an argument with Lee Burrison, 55, and he grabbed a knife, according to a police source.

She told cops she tried to grab it from him, and he was cut in the left shoulder, sources added. EMS rushed him to Jamaica Hospital, where he died.

Forbes told cops she didn’t intend to kill him, and she was charged with manslaughter.

Police charged Forbes with manslaughter. She had previously been arrested for assaulting Burrison with a razor, according to a police source.

Neighbor Madan Lal, a 40-year-old cab driver, said the couple fought constantly. “I feel sorry about what happened to him. That lady beat him up all the time,” he said.

She was busted again by cops after she violated an order of protection, though he did not have that order against her yesterday.

“There has been a history there of domestic violence,” said Police Commissioner Kelly today.

The couple lived on the top floor of the three-story house.

“He was a nice guy, very courteous,” said another neighbor, who declined to give his name.
