Woman who lured man to his death with sexy texts testifies against her own brother

A Brooklyn woman who lured a man to his death with naked photos of her younger friend testified against her own brother – the accused shooter – in Brooklyn Supreme Court today.

“Jimmy was hyped. He was saying he shot him and how Dwayne was holding his eye and screaming,” Crystal Copeland testified about her brother Jimmy Copeland, who along with Ragene Powell-Dickerson faces a murder rap for killing Dwayne Burnett in Brownsville in 2011.

Jimmy Copeland knew his sister might sell him out – in a phone call from Rikers Island he told another family member, “She will be the death of me. I can’t get a jury to believe me over my sister.”

Crystal Copeland also testified about how she texted and talked over the phone with Burnett to lure him to the spot where her brother killed him – even sending him naked photos of her 17-year-old friend, Ebony Geddie.

Copeland and Geddie both testified in exchange for plea deals that will get them just four to 12 years in prison.
