‘Dark Knight’ thief gets 2 years

Holy prison stint, Batman!

A burglar who repeatedly plundered an Upper West Side IMAX movie theater last summer — ripping off bags and purses from movie-goers engrossed by The Dark Knight Rises — was sentenced to at least two years prison today.

Nicholas Fairclough, 26, ripped off at least three people on three dates in August at the AMC Lowes at 1998 Broadway, officials said.

Fairclough already had a record for a 2011 Manhattan identity theft conviction, and had been caught back in 2010 stealing purses from the same theater — that time targeting women engrossed in the Avatar movie.

He had pleaded guilty in March to just one of those robberies to cover all the current charges against him.

But prosecutors had said at the time of his arrest that he was prolific, with a total haul that included an iMac laptop, iPods, expensive headphones, and purses containing cell phones and credit cards.
